Public deliverables of the project
D1.1
Policy recommendation for the legal framework regarding energy communities with a special focus on the grid
This deliverable, which is part of WP 1, focuses on the examination and analysis of the legal norms and regulations that shape energy communities, with a particular attention to the grid. The legal analysis was conducted by the legal team of the University of Graz during Winter 2024 and autumn 2025 through a questionnaire distributed to national legal experts.
It consists of an analysis of the respective legal norms.
D1.2
Report on psychological factors based on lab and panel studies
The present report compares motivational drivers of two forms of active energy participa-tion: installing photovoltaic (PV) systems as a form of individual prosumerism and joining energy communities. Using representative panel survey data collected in all four project countries, Austria, Germany, Romania, and Sweden (total N = 1479), we examined how financial, environmental, social, independence, technical, and democratic motivations pre-dict individuals’ intentions to install PV systems or join energy communities.
D2.1
Positive energy districts and energy communities: how living labs create value
This study provides practical insights for stakeholders involved in the development of PEDs and ECs through ULLs. First, the analysis highlights that governance models play a critical role – distributed and inclusive structures tend to foster trust, legitimacy and sustained innovation, while centralised, siloed models often lead to missed or destroyed value.
D2.2
Privacy by Design
The primary objective of this report is to explore the application of Privacy by Design principles within energy communities, focusing on both technical and organizational aspects. The report aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the legislative frameworks, privacy models, and implementation strategies essential for safeguarding user data in local energy markets. Additionally, it will analyze key challenges related to privacy, including identity protection, information security, and the integration of privacy solutions across different market phases.
D3.1
Preliminary Combined Report for Energy Analytics
This report offers a concise summary of the technical approaches discussed in the literature for synthetic data generation, forecasting, and fault detection and diagnosis (FDD). It highlights the current progress and activities carried out this year. A variety of methods for generating synthetic data, including model-based, data-driven, and AI-based techniques for forecasting, load profiling and fault detection and diagnosis (physics), are commonly used and adapted for measurement devices. This work package task will concentrate on the techniques and analysis that align most closely with the goals and synergistic aims outlined 1by ECom4Future.
D6.1
Report on planned trial sites setup
This report provides an overview of the strategic planning, technological frameworks, and implementation processes for the trial sites integral to the ECom4Future initiative. This project is an ambitious undertaking and involves multiple partners across Europe. It aims to develop and validate innovative, interdisciplinary approaches to energy man-agement within local energy communities, leveraging advanced technologies like AI, IoT, and the FIWARE open-source platform. ECom4Future is rooted in the challenge of inte-grating increasingly decentralized and renewable energy sources into local energy sys-tems. The project’s primary goals are to design AI-driven solutions for optimized energy management, provide high-resolution energy profiles for informed decision-making, and foster active participation in energy communities. These objectives will be achieved through a series of trial sites that represent diverse geographic and regulatory environ-ments across Europe, including Germany, Austria, Sweden, and Romania.
D6.2
Report on implementation and status on trial sites
This deliverable documents the implementation progress and current status of all ECom4Future trial sites within Work Package 6 (Demonstration). It serves two main pur-poses: (i) to report what has been installed, commissioned and is operational at each site, and (ii) to compare the realised status against the plan defined in Deliverable 6.1 (baseline) across the WP6 activity chain—setup, monitoring, market integration and trial operations. The report consolidates partner inputs for each site (in particular the smart buildings and smart energy laboratories, WUNergy Energy Sharing Community, Chalmers Campus Energy Community, Jättesten, FDD/optimisation pilots, Energy Community Nie-dergrail, Energy Community Mariatrost, FH JOANNEUM & FH CAMPUS 02, and Green-Mogo) and provides a portfolio view of schedule adherence, open issues/risks and mitiga-tion actions.
D7.1
Dissemination Plan
This report represents the deliverable D7.1 Dissemination Plan and summarizes the consortium strategy and planned actions to disseminate, exploit and protect the foreground generated by the project and shall act as a guideline for the partners about the Dissemination activities to be carried out in the context of the Ecom4Future project.
D8.1
Data Management Plan
Data Management Plan created in Chalmers Data Stewardship Wizard «dsw.chalmers.se» using Chalmers Horizon Europe DSW Knowledge Model v1.2.7 (chalmers:root-he:1.2.7).
